What to expect from ADE 2018

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the biggest electronic music event in Europe, is coming back with its 23rd edition.

Let’s examine the ingredients of this important festival that will take place from the 17th to the 22nd of October.

The location is Amsterdam, an open-minded city where entertainment never sleeps; the beautiful Dutch city is ready to welcome both the main world-class and up-and-coming artists from the dance music world.
The focus is of course on Dance music, from day to night. Many genres will attend (electronic, acid, techno, house, hip-hop, drum ‘n’ bass, minimal, just to mention some of them) to satisfy even the listeners with difficult tastes.
And finally, it’s an Event, a container full of creativity fires all over the amazing city: conferences and parties, discussions and meetings in more than 160 different locations.

So, ADE means fun, but also business: it’s an occasion to exchange ideas, enrich and make new contacts, learn music business news.
In this respect, this year, for 5 days, exhibitions, film projections, Studio XL sessions, MusicTalk and gear demonstrations will take place with a very intensive schedule. For example Raplh Echemendia, better known as The Ethical Hacker, will explain all the risks about technology, with a particular focus on cybersecurity, the hackers’ problem, cryptocurrencies vulnerability and online identity theft.
This year ADE hosts the ADE Hackaton, a challenge where a group of designers, data scientists, developers and other creatives will create all together a new concept for the music industry in 24 hours.

What about parties? DJ performances will take place everywhere both during the day and the night. One of the most highly-anticipated events is for sure Hardwell performance, taking place on thursday night at Amsterdam Ziggo Dome. This would be the LAST performance for the famous DJ who, a few months ago, announced his unexpected retirement, leaving his fans speachless. Names such as Jeff Mills and Nina Kraviz, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as Markus Schulz, Martin Garrix and many more, will shake all super fans of electronic music that (we are sure) won’t miss this incredible festival.

For all of those who will not be able to take part in the event physically, stay tuned on our social network pages and follow the J-Team LIVE adventures directly from Amsterdam, you won’t regret it!
